Accelerated Pathways

Eligibility

Undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at the following universities may be eligible for an accelerated pathway to their JD. In their third year of undergraduate studies, the student will apply to Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law and will be evaluated for admission based on their undergraduate academic record, LSAT score, involvement and leadership in their school and community organizations, and character & fitness. Students interested in this pathway should reach out to their institution’s academic or pre-law advisor to begin the process. Currently, the law school has agreements with the following universities:

  • Guilford College
  • Meredith College
  • North Carolina A&T State University
  • Queens University of Charlotte
  • Salem College

Program Benefits

If admitted to Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law under an accelerated pathway, the student will enroll at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law during what would have been their fourth year of undergraduate studies. Courses successfully completed in their first year of law school are eligible for transfer back to the undergraduate school as elective credits towards the undergraduate degree, which the student will receive from their undergraduate school.
Students admitted under the 3+2.5 year program complete their undergraduate degree and JD in 5.5 years, which traditionally takes up to 7 years. Our accelerated pathway offers a unique opportunity for students to save time and money in completing their JD.
