Get a new perspective on campus history by exploring curated stories from the Committee on Â鶹ÊÓƵ History & Memory through a digital guide on Bloomberg Connects, the free arts and culture app. Building on the work of the 2020 report, the guide features three campus walking tours:

  • Black Student Activism tells the stories of the first Black students on campus and their pathways to gain more opportunities and visibility.
  • Black Labor discovers the experiences and legacies of Black people who helped build the university, even before classrooms were integrated.
  • Tangled Roots: Exploring Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Complex Past explores the complicated legacies of the men who impacted the institution’s founding and early years.

All tours go throughout campus, telling impactful stories of locations and namesakes. Each stop features audio from faculty, staff, students, alumni, or other community members, in addition to historical research and archival images.

The guide also features multilingual capabilities to over 50 languages through Google Translate and has core accessibility features like screen reader support, transcripts, and alt text.
