The Student Professional Development Center career advisers work with students to create a customized search including networking assistance, company exploration and industry-specific job and internship sites. Our corporate and employer relations teams travel the country to build relationships with quality employers and then connect them to 鶹Ƶ talent through on-campus recruiting, career fairs, and job and internship posts on the 鶹Ƶ Job Network.

Emilia Cappellett, an 鶹Ƶ women’s soccer player and sport management major, spent the summer before her senior year interning with Major League Baseball in New York City. Emilia assisted with special projects and internal communications and contributed to the MLB Moments campaign.

“Following my MLB internship, I feel more confident in myself and my abilities, and I owe a lot of it to my team at MLB and everything they did for me. I cannot thank them enough.”

Completing an internship isn’t a requirement for every major, however, all students have access to internship resources whether they complete one for credit or just for the experience. 鶹Ƶ College, the College of Arts and Sciences, Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and the School of Communications all have dedicated internship and career advisers located within the schools. Internships are great for career exploration and often help students settle on a major that’s the right fit for them. Internship opportunities are also available when you study abroad or participate in one of 鶹Ƶ’s Study USA programs.
