Former Greensboro mayor and Bryan Foundation president and CEO Jim Melvin was an early visionary supporter of the School of Law, establishing the downtown Greensboro campus in support of “a law school with a difference.” He died Aug. 10, 2025, at the age of 91.

The graduate of the Accelerated 3+1 Dual-Degree Program in Business Analytics in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business serves as a division business analyst at Lennar in Raleigh, N.C., and aspires to attend medical school.

�鶹��Ƶ has released its President's List and Dean's List academic recognitions for the 2025 spring semester.

The former Youth Trustee and current member of the President’s Round Table is a seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist whose long-standing support for his alma mater, including the establishment of an endowed scholarship and gifts to student-focused initiatives, earned him the Distinguished Service to �鶹��Ƶ Award in 2009.
