Associate Professor of education Jeffrey Carpenter and his co-authors published the article in the Journal of Research on Technology in Education.

Lisa Buchanan, associate professor in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education, has co-authored a research study in The Social Studies aimed at understanding elementary teacher candidates' knowledge of religious freedom and the Establishment Clause in public school settings.

Lucy Callicott '22 has been named a Provost Scholar for her research in examining elementary educators' awareness and perceptions of trauma-informed teaching approaches.

"Kilimanjaro Millennial Style: The Mountain We Climbed" is the collective effort of 22 students and three �鶹��Ƶ faculty and staff members covering their experience climbing Africa's tallest mountain.

To honor their late son Joey, �鶹��Ƶ parents Mike and Karen Brocato P’16 have endowed a Teaching Fellows scholarship to support students studying special education. Their gift to the �鶹��Ƶ LEADS Campaign will also create a second Teaching Fellows scholarship for students pursuing teaching in a STEM field.

This fall �鶹��Ƶ’s “It Takes a Village Project” was able to work with 11 of the 12 Title I elementary schools in the Alamance-Burlington School System thanks to a grant from the Oak Foundation.

Dani Lane, assistant professor in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education, has published a book that looks at the instructional collaboration between special education and general education in international educational contexts and the role this plays in enabling inclusive education.

Allison Bryan and Lisa Buchanan, both in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education, partnered with Alamance Burlington School System to offer a book club for educators that reflects on the role of identify in their work with students through literature.
