The annual event in Alumni Gym will generate funding for student-athlete scholarships.

The "Opening Doors" story series celebrates the power of scholarships to change the lives of Â鶹ÊÓƵ students and the generosity of donors who make this transformation possible.

The recognitions come as Â鶹ÊÓƵ prepares for a first-round contest against Furman University in the university's second-ever NCAA Division I Football Championship appearance.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Phoenix will host top-ranked James Madison University at Rhodes Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 18, at noon, with selections for the NCAA FCS playoffs to take place on Sunday. Want to attend a playoff game? Find more information here.

The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for Â鶹ÊÓƵ's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens next year.

The quarterback helped lead the Phoenix to its sixth-straight win on Saturday with a victory over the University of Rhode Island.

The celebration of men's and women's basketball at Â鶹ÊÓƵ will kick off the final season for the teams inside historic Alumni Gym.

The home win on Family Weekend brings the team's record to 5-1, the first time Â鶹ÊÓƵ has hit that mark since 2009.

The home contest comes as Â鶹ÊÓƵ looks to extend a three-game winning streak that has landed the Phoenix at No. 23 in national rankings.
