New York City. Washington. Boston. Raleigh. Charlotte. Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law students are excelling in legal internships coast-to-coast this summer with law firms, government offices, nonprofits and corporations that match their professional interests.

Students in the Class of May 2017 received their degrees in an Alumni Gym ceremony highlighted by remarks from Robert J. Grey Jr., a former president of the American Bar Association who implored the group to "guard against injustice." 

On the eve of Commencement, students in the Class of May 2017 and their families gathered in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law library to recognize outstanding academic performance, pro bono work, and service to the law school. 

Timaura Barfield, Sarah Rozek and David Wheaton - members of Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law’s Class of 2018 - accepted distinguished work placements as part of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession 1L Summer Associate Program.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law Alumni Association recognized Kristin Thompson Seum '10 L'13, Jim Grant L’12, Adrianne Edmonds Poe L'11 and Angelique Ryan L'16 for contributions to their professions, their communities, and their alma mater during Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law Alumni Reunion Weekend.

The North Carolina Bar Association’s 2017 Law Student Group Pro Bono Award recognizes efforts at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law to help regional attorneys who represent asylum seekers fleeing persecution in their home countries.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Law students built professional networks and learned more about opportunities in specific areas of law during a weeklong event welcoming more than 40 alumni back to campus.
