First-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students from �鶹��Ƶ recently joined second-year Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) students from Rowan Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) for an intensive, hands-on learning activity.

Beyond 12, an initiative designed to promote college and career readiness among middle school students, welcomed 50 students to campus for a two-day summer program focused on exploring future pathways.

During the past year, students contributed 88,084 hours of service, with more than 3,200 students participating in volunteer and community engagement efforts.

The annual event brings together students, faculty, staff and community members.

Katherine Reynolds, associate professor of law and director of the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic at �鶹��Ƶ School of Law, offered analysis of changes to federal guidance in the naturalization process.

At the 2026 PACE (Pathways to Achieving Civic Engagement) Conference hosted by �鶹��Ƶ, first-year �鶹��Ƶ student, Odyssey Program scholar and �鶹��Ƶ Academy alumna Berenice Sanchez Rosaldo ’20 presented alongside faculty and community leaders on how community storytelling can foster civic engagement.

As �鶹��Ƶ Academy enters its twentieth year, the Phi Cohort represents more than a record-breaking class size. These 30 students embody the promise, potential, and perseverance that have defined �鶹��Ƶ Academy since its founding.

Students enrolled in Professor Julie Lellis’ Senior Seminar in Health Communications spent the spring semester working alongside healthcare providers at Cone Health's CenteringPregnancy program, developing strategic communications campaigns designed to increase enrollment, improve patient retention, and expand awareness of group prenatal care.

One-hundred and twenty students have been recognized for their work with the community during this past semester.

The FDHE Convention, occurring in late June, will bring together experts in design thinking to the Center for Design Thinking, Duke University’s campus.
