Â鶹ÊÓƵ parents Howard C. and Judy Pickett of Cary, N.C., have made a $110,000 endowment gift to enhance the university’s Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows program. The couple made the gift because of the transformative experience that their daughter, Hilaire, a senior, has had as a Leadership Fellow at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

Helping to make an Â鶹ÊÓƵ education possible for additional deserving students was the motivation behind a $500,000 gift from the Hall Family Foundation. The gift was made in memory of Margaret “Peggy” Hall, a former Parents Council member and the mother of Gretchen Hall Archibald ’02.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ 100 students and 25 alumni gathered on Young Commons on Saturday, April 26, for City Fair, an event that gave students a chance to find out more about living in various cities after graduation. Read more...

The disappointment of four years ago has turned into elation for Blake Russell, a 2001 graduate of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s physical therapy program, who qualified for the 2008 Olympic Team following her impressive finish April 21 at the U.S. Women’s Olympic Trials in Boston.

The importance of scholarships at Â鶹ÊÓƵ took center stage Thursday night as members of the campus community gathered for the annual Scholarship Dinner. A record crowd of donors and students packed McKinnon Hall to share stories of philanthropy and academic success.
