Two outdoor leadership and education majors presented at the national Society for Experiential Education conference
Olivia Love ’27 and Nick Sanders ’28, both outdoor leadership and education majors, presented at the national conference hosted by the Society for Experiential Education in October.
SEE is one of the major associations for the experiential education field, and the annual conference brings scholars, practitioners and educators together from across the world.
This year’s conference theme was “Experience Matters: 55 Years of Impact, Innovation, and Community” and focused on how all forms of experiential education continue to drive meaningful, inclusive and innovative learning experiences.
Love and Sanders presented a session titled “What Next? Effective Reflection in Global Education” that encouraged attendees to utilize multi-modal reflective activities to help students more effectively process their study abroad experiences. This session was motivated by Love and Sanders experiences on an Â鶹ÊÓƵ Winter Term program as well as a Semester at Sea journey. They were the only two undergraduate students to present at this national conference.
Attending and presenting at this conference allowed them to network with professionals from across the country while learning more about their field.
