This past weekend, the Men's Club Soccer team travelled to Winston-Salem to play both South Carolina and UVA.
Zane Laughery scored on an overhead flick 20 minutes into the second half of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s first ever regional game to tie South Carolina. Heavy rain prevented play on Saturday. The tournament resumed on Sunday in a shortened, single elimination format. UVA scored off of a corner kick early in the elimination game. Â鶹ÊÓƵ appeared to equalize 30 minutes later, when a shot looked to cross the goal line, but a lunging clearance by a UVA defender was judged to have saved the goal.
